Favourite Idol: Sadio Mane 

     An idol is a person who you adore his/her motivation and can give so many impacts on our life, especially positive ones. Me, I consider my favourite idol Sadio Mane, who is known as a Senegalese professional footballer. He was born on April 10, 1992, in Bambali, Senegal. His current football teams are Senegal national football team (#10 / Forward) and FC Bayern Munich (#17 / Forward). Moreover, he is worth 22 million EUR in 2022 until now which is the highest-paid football player at Bayern Munich. He is indeed a motivational person to me because he is such a successful person that always encourages me to do my best. Therefore, there are some reasons that I chose Sadio Mane as my favourite idol.

     First and foremost, I adore him as my idol because he is such a talented person. It is because he is considered one of the world-class and amongst the greatest African players of all time. He is also known for his impressive techniques of pressing, dribbling, and speed in his football team. Most of his football match highlights never disappoint me with his outstanding football techniques and goals especially when he is once able to control a spinning ball and clip it in. This has shown that his football teams are blessed with his presence he is able to be one of the players who can also bring success to his team and highlights their achievement in the football industry. Not to forget another thing I love about him is that he always seems to relax during football games which is different from the other players. Hence, by being such a talented person, especially in the football industry is one of the reasons why I love Sadio Mane as my favourite idol. 

    Next, the reason why Sadio Mane is my favourite idol is he inspires me a lot in many ways. This is because he has done so much great work for his football teams and also for his own achievement. He has had quite numerous awards in the industry which are African Player of the Year, CAF Africa’s finest XI, Premier League Golden Boot, and Socrates Award. A fun fact about one of those awards is that he received Socrates Award because of the charity work he has done for his community. His football team in recent years, Bayern Munich, has funded schools and built a public hospital in his home village of Bambali. Moreover, they also donated to the Senegalese National Committee to help decrease Covid-19 cases. Thus, the hard work he and his team has done which is inspirational to me is also a reason to have Sadio Mane as my favourite idol. 

    Apart from that, another reason why I idolise Sadio Mane is that he has a great lifestyle. Based on interviews people did with him, they mostly said that Sadio Mane always eats healthily by having a strict diet. Most of the time, he will eat at his home instead of eating outside. Although at first, he didn't quite use to eating only healthy food but considering the fact that he is still young and needs to be in great body shape. Not only that, but he also maintains his body fit by sleeping early and training hard at all times. As a professional and talented footballer, it is best that he trained himself well to keep on being healthy to prevent any problems during training and football matches. Hence, the fact that Sadio Mane practices a great lifestyle is a reason why Sadio Mane is my favourite idol.

     In a nutshell, those are the reasons why Sadio Mane is my favourite idol, which are he is a talented person, inspirational, and has a great lifestyle. Sadio Mane is indeed one of the best motivational persons I had known in my life because of the positive traits he had. I believe the impact he gave to people, especially to his community can make people feel motivated in some ways with the faith to succeed. Lastly, I would also like to share my favourite quote from him which is “You have to believe in yourself and believe in what you are doing all the time.”. These words will always prompt me to always being the best version of myself.
