THE WORST EVENT I HAVE ORGANISED

When I was in sem break last year(2022), I felt boring staying at home doing nothing. Then one day I got to know some of my friends were in holidays as well. So I thought of hanging out with my friends after a very long gap because the last we went out was during our high school. I texted each and everyone who were free asking whether they can make it or not. Then I created a group in whatsapp and added them all.


We had a group discussion about where to go in the group. I personally suggested going Georgetown,Penang as we can eat good food and have fun somewhere else. After some time chatting, all of us agreed to go Georgetown,Penang and fixed the date.


On the event day, all of us met at Penang Ferry Terminal to take boat to go to island. Everything was smooth until we meet at the terminal and moving in the boat to where we planned earlier. After reaching island, the day becomes very hot and the worst part was we need to walk from one place to another. We did not have any sun protection equipment like cap or umbrella so that was really a terrible day. Some of my friends suggested taking grab to our destination but that was not worth it because the distance of the place we wanted to go was short from the location we were standing and the fare was quite high too. So all of us decided to walk under the hot sun patiently.


That was first mistake I did in the event. The second mistake I did which make the trip to turn upside down was the day. We went for the trip during Hari Raya. Almost 90% of the places we decided to go was closed because of public holiday. We had no other choice so we just walk in the streets eating some roadside foods. But all the food we ate tastes good as Penang is famous for street foods. We past our time talking in some small shops calling back those beautiful memories we had during high school. That was quite fun too. I did not miss the chance to take a picture of them having good day together.


When the day becomes dusk, all of us started walking back to ferry terminal slowly to go back home. Although we did not had much activity, all of us felt tired just by walking here and there. That was a memorable worst event I have ever organised in my life. I promised my friends that there will be no any discomforts on our next trip.
